Basically what I am is conflicted.

My favorite season, hands down, is winter. I love the smell in the air, the holidays that occur during the season, the colors you see around, the events, (the school breaks), and the fun of bundling up in hoodies or long sleeve shirts and the joy of a caramel apple spice from Starbucks. I.love.winter.

Until.

Winter actually rolls around.
And then I long for the beautiful days that spring brings. The smell in the air, the colors you see around, the events, (the school breaks), the sound of a baseball hitting a bat and the fun of flip flops and long sleeve shirts on the cool mornings/nights. I.love.spring.

Until.

Spring actually rolls around.
And then I long for long summer nights. The smell in the air, the colors you see around, the holidays, the events, (the school breaks), and the fun of swimming and hanging out in the sunshine. I.love.summer.

Until.

Summer actually rolls around.
And then I long for fall. The smell in the air, the colors you see around, the holidays, the events, (the school breaks), and the fun of long sleeve shirts, the occasional hoodie and the joy of a caramel apple spice from Starbucks. I.love.fall.

Until. Well...you get the picture.

So...basically what I am is conflicted.

At the moment, I am looking forward to fall. Fall means school has started, things are in a routine and I no longer feel like my classroom will never be put together...(ha!) Fall also means pumpkins, cool days, arts and craft fairs, choir rehearsals for Christmas, my favorite Bath and Body Works candles, Fall Fest-o-Fun/Rama and FALL RETREAT. (I've been looking at cabins to rent and I am so excited.) I feel like I put a lot of pressure on fall because I love so many things that come along with it...but it never fails to live up to my expectations. I want to enjoy the rest of my summer--it has been fabulous so far--but I am excited about the things to come.

I hope though that I can do a better job of living in the now...and not always anticipating what is to come. Because if I do say so myself, the now is pretty sweet.

My favorite candle flavors...carries me all the way through fall and into winter. Yum. I can smell them now. L.O.V.E.

(And because I know you'll lose sleep over not really knowing what my favorite season is...winter really is my favorite, but fall is a close second. Summer really would be last on my list because I don't like being hot and sweaty...so I guess that makes spring third. Now you can sleep. You're welcome.)
