I was doing so great at actually getting things written. And then... I had to go back to work for professional development. And I was over thinking at the end of the day. So. Here we are.
The last few days including my professional development days have been busy with adventures with friends. I think I've mentioned it before but it bears repeating that I have some of the funniest and best friends ever. They make my heart so full and I am so grateful for them.
So since they are so great and so important to me, I figured I would just dedicate a post to a few of my lovelies from the adventures we've had lately and highlight some of their wonderfulness.

These are my BSL (Blue Stocking Ladies) girls. We meet once a month to hang out and talk about books but usually end up talking about 1,000,000 other things as well. These were taken at Arley's baby shower for sweet EK, (can I please call her Eeek? Please?) who will make her debut super soon! Some of these girls I've known since elementary school and others I've just gotten to know in the last few months since we started this little crew but they are all dear friends and I love sharing life with them. And clearly, we are super amounts of fun. I guess we'll have another shower or something coming up in the next few months for ML, and who knows who else with this group! Praying for God to do amazing things in their families. I am thankful for each of them for many different reasons. I just love 'em!

I also really love these people. They are a few of my Sunday School (excuse me, LifeGroup) people and I haven't known them for hardly anytime at all in the grand scheme of my 27 years, but I can't imagine life without them. This was at a fun night of putt-putt followed by some Sonic...at which time we met one of the guys from Kiros who was in town with the band doing some recording. (One of the super fun things about Nashville. You just never know who is around the corner.) This sweet group of people make me laugh until my sides hurt and cry along with me when life seems harder than it should be. I am so blessed by them and love them all so much. I also mentioned some of the ladies here.
We also do fun things like this:

This is Brittany and this is Hunter. They are both members of my LifeGroup, but are also both members of choir with me. We've made a habit of hanging out after we finish up and this particular night was no different. They are just two of the people that make choir what it is for me, but I love every minute of it. If I am having to run slides, they are two that I for sure need to ignore because they make me laugh, but I'm never able to so I just laugh through the whole rehearsal. Choir nights are good for my soul. These pictures are from our outing to Sonic last week. Brittany's face is because I told her to look excited. Hunter's face is what he gave me when I said look amused. ha! I wish I could post the vidoes we also took but that isn't possible. Not because I don't know how, but because I need to hold them for blackmail at a later date. Except that doesn't work either because I'm in the videos too. Brittany is another member of my family. And she loves on my kiddos at school each year when she comes to do JA. That totally makes her fun. Hunter is a treasure (the good kind) and always remembers to ask how my day is going...and then actually listens to my random stories. He shreds music with me and likes to change things on my phone for me to find later. I'm grateful for both of them for a lot of different reasons.
I realize this isn't a picture of people, but it is a picture of a lot of memories all stitched up together to remind me of my 4 fabulous years in Kappa Delta. Campus Quilt Company did an incredible job making this keepsake and I will treasure it forever. I was PUMPED when I found it at my door the other day. KD helped shape me into the lady and leader I am today and I am so grateful to be a part of such an incredible organization. I know some people sneer at sororities, but this was by far one of the best decisions that I have ever made. My sisters are the people I walked through college with and learned about being a "real" adult with. (Although I'm still working on "real" part of adult. I pose well.) I treasure those friendships and miss having them all a few steps away. I love still being involved and being able to stay in touch with the girls that make up my chapter now.
Speaking of my sorority sisters, this girl isn't one, but rather a girl from a different sorority. We met freshman year and have been friends ever since. The initial meeting was in a Written Comp class but once she realized I had a freezer in my dorm room for her to put her frozen pizzas in, our friendship was sealed. She's the perfect example of a friend that can pick right back up where we left off. We shoot straight with one another and it has never been any other way. I love her heart and passion for what she does. She's even patient enough to walk around Target with me while I look for the perfect wrapping paper to do this:
(Still in the process, but this is all I got done today.)
This is my friend Matt. We've been friends since high school and he makes me laugh until I cry. We got to go to dinner the other night and then eat some of these. We don't see each other very often but I am always glad when we get the chance to hang out and catch up. This picture is an older one but it is one of my favorites of the two of us. I've watched him grow and change a lot over the course of our friendship--by far one of my favorite stories of watching God mold and change a life.
