Apparently, I really love Tie-Dying.

[Background: I am in charge of my Sunday School classes events. Once a month, I attempt to plan something for us to do that will be at least quasi-enjoyable and give us an "organized" way to hang out. We still do dinner and what have you at other times, but we know that at least once a month we have a bigger event of sorts. We've played Laser Tag, cookouts, Fall Fest-o-ramas, game nights, baseball games, etc.]

As of late, I've determined that if I'm the one that has to plan the events, then we are going to do things that I like to do...with the reasoning that if I have to be there, I might as well enjoy it if it ends up being just me to show up. (Which as never happened, but anyway.)

So in a week or so...we're Tie-Dying. Woot!

Brittany, Sally and I had dinner the other night and then went to Jo Ann's to look at Tie-Dye kits. Long story short, Brittany suggested that we give it a shot with a smaller kit so we could see what was going to happen. I am so glad we tried it out because there are some lessons we learned along the way,but I think at the end of the night, they turned out really great! It was a lot of fun too...it is amazing how just taking a few minutes to be creative and relax can be so good for your soul.

All twisted and rubberbanded up...and then after we put the dye on them and wrapped them up to keep them wet over night while they set.

The two top ones are Brittany's and Sally's. I somehow missed taking a picture of mine. The third one is all of our shirts stacked.


Oh, and after we picked out the dye at Jo Ann's we went here.

My most favorite look for a kid. No top teeth. I hope the permanent teeth take a little bit longer to come in...is that bad?

P.S. we used the Tulip tie-dye kits...I thought they worked well!
