Fourth Folder, Fourth Picture...

Alright, so Jackie tagged me in this blog thing where you go to your fourth folder, fourth picture and post it, and then write about the picture. So I went to go do that and this is the picture I found... (I'm afraid he might kill me...so this post might not be long lasting...)

This was taken one day when Bret came to hang stuff in my classroom and he found my camera. It was in the folder of our trip to Chattanooga to the aquarium. Maybe this'll teach him not to mess with my camera. :)

This is Bret. He's been one of my best friends since middle school. I stole his baseball hat on a band trip and the rest, as they say, is history.
He's my go-to tall kid, who faithfully (for the last two years, anyway) helps me put up all my Christmas decorations in my classroom, hangs things for me that are way too tall for me to touch and even talks to my kiddos while he's at it. (Even if they do want him to fall off chairs.) He absolutely loves kids and that's one thing that I love the most about him. He also loves Jesus and is trying to become the man he's supposed to be in this crazy thing called life. He's a teacher of the physical education persuasion and is fabulous at what he does. He needs to go back to get his masters, but we're each others excuse to not do that...after all, the other one hasn't done anything about it yet, right? And we're not letting Matt convince us otherwise.
He's the one that helped start my love of baseball and made me cry when they lost their final game of our Senior year. (We were so stinking close.) He protects me from fish when we're out with Matt and always offers a shoulder to hide behind when we watch scary movies (which, let's be honest, isn't all that often after the Movie Choice of '01). He's also taught me a thing or two he's learned in his Financial Peace seminars. We've sat and laughed over ridiculous stuff, celebrated birthdays, talked about some serious things, had a few fights, not seen each other for over a year, traveled to Chattanooga to see the turtles (and the fish), watched tons of movies, been to lots of sports games, and just enjoyed being friends for over 13 years and counting. He's one of the best listeners I know and am grateful to have someone like him in my world. Oh, and he really likes to back big trucks up into parking spaces...but not very well. :)
So, here's to you BB, I'm glad you're around and in my world. Here's to a bunch more 13 years of being friends. I'll leave you with a better picture of him. :)

And now I tag...(who reads this thing? I don't even know) Arley (because she hasn't done it yet) ML, Erin and Amy-J0. GO!
