School is OUT. Hip, Hip! It was a good year, but man does it feel good to be in summer mode! I'm living by myself currently as one roommate is married now and the next doesn't come until July...but I've taken time to clean things up, move things around...buy some new furniture (Hello, adult world, nice to meet you.) and just in general be able to lay around without feeling guilty that someone is watching be a bag of lazy.
Been to Boston and back...super fun trip... We didn't get lost, we laughed a whole bunch and we definitely ate some Dunkin' (Oh, Dunkin, you do have my heart.) and rode the T like champs. No lost-ness for us. We even got asked for directions a few times which totally means we looked like we belonged there as Boston-dwellers. And, we even got asked once at Harvard if we were students there. I promise my IQ went up while I was on campus.
Saw Pixar's UP the other night...beautifully sweet movie about the human spirit and a precious man who wants to keep his "cross my hearts" he made to those he loved. I don't want to give anything away, but honestly, cartoon or not, I hope I can have a precious husband like sweet Carl. I think this is Pixar's most human-emotion movie they have written... I connect better to a human than I do a fish. That said though, I do remember feeling super sorry for Marlin when Nemo went out beyond the ocean's shelf into the scary water...and Sulley in Monsters Inc. when he didn't want to make Boo sad.
I've also decided that I am a terrible blogger, but I want to be a good one.
My Sunday School class had a cookout tonight and I just want to make the note that I absolutely love those people. They always make me laugh and build be up in such incredible ways. I am so grateful for our leadership and all they do to build community. And a shout-out to Laura for planning the whole shindig. And based on tonight's game, we stand a good chance to make the US Volleyball team for 2012. Or whatever year Volleyball appears in the Olympics.
